Here’s the update I have been working on posting for awhile. Some of you might have seen that I fractured my ankle. During an adventure day with my team I fell off of a horse and landed on my ankle I previously sprained a month or so before that(this is the spark-notes version). I went to get X-rays done and they told me I would be in a boot for about 15 days. Fast forward to Antigua at Worship room, someone at AIM Guatemala prayed over my foot. After he prayed and I was able to walk without pain. Praise the Lord! Fast forward to meeting our friend Melody* (this is where part two comes into play). There were about 10 of us praying for her by the end of our time meeting her. She told us after we prayed there was a cramp but then her leg was no longer in pain. Again praise the Lord! Okay so here’s the thing… Melody didn’t stand up and walk. I myself am back on crutches. God has been teaching me his healing is on his time. There are half miracles where he will take away the pain, or heal my ankle when my foot is still fractured. Miracles are instant and healing takes time. It doesn’t matter how much faith you have or good works you do. What matters is the work God is doing in your heart. The work and healing he wants to do in his own timing. I’m excited and anxiously waiting to see the purpose God has for my fractured ankle. Trust me I will keep everyone update and I will share all of the things the Lord is teaching and showing me.
Please join me in a prayer for Melody*
“Lord thank you for the opportunity to hear a part of Melody’s story. We lift her up to you and ask whatever is not in alignment in her body would align in your name. That the pain she is struggling with in her whole body would be healed by you. We ask to heal her mentally and emotionally from the trauma, depression, and anxiety she has been facing. Thank you that for the work you are doing in her life, we know she is going to be a light and an example of your great works. Thank you for how much you love her and us. Amen.”
*all names have been changed to respect and honor the privacy of everyone we met!
I am still fundraising and need your help and support to keep me on the field! If you could also pray that I would be fully funded by my final deadline coming up soon, that would be great! If you are able to give financially you can do so via the website(just click the donate button under my name) or Venmo.

Abbey, I have found that our idea of healing is not necessarily God’s idea of healing. God’s healing may be about us being drawn to be more reliant on Him THROUGH the pain or tribulation. I always think of Joni Eareckson Tada and what she has been through in her life! She has not been physically healed, but what a blessing she continues to be to God!! God ALWAYS heals when we ask, but that healing will be for the fulfillment of God’s glorify, not for our comfort.
Praying for you!
“Miracles are instant and healing takes time. It doesn’t matter how much faith you have or good works you do. What matters is the work God is doing in your heart.” Love this wisdom, Abbey. Praying for you as you patiently await His healing and submit to the invaluable work He is doing in your heart.
