Hey everyone! Sorry it’s been a while, but don’t worry I am here to report back to you! If you haven’t read part one of my story, (hyperlink this) go check it out!

To catch you up, my team went to a community with a witch doctor. While there, I was able to step out in faith and share my testimony with multiple people. After walking in boldness and confidence to share my story, I had the opportunity to pray for a man who accepted the Father!

Alright, we are caught up!. I was able to connect the man who accepted the Father with the pastor who was starting a new church in that community . After the pastor arrived, we took a quick stop by the witch doctor. My team leader, one of the Until They Know Ministry  staff, and I prayed over that space. At first I was anxious because I have dealt with some demonic things in the past and was honestly fearful something might come up at that moment. I was so nervous that something would attach itself to me or I wouldn’t be strong enough to not let it affect me.

Other people from my team started coming towards the witch doctors building from all directions. I have always been a curious kid, so naturally I had to check out what this all entailed. I started walking closer, looking into the building where he worked. To my surprise, I saw pigeons everywhere, random trinkets, and some blood smeared around the building. It was a bazaar set up and I couldn’t help but laugh. As I was praying, my anxiety started leaving, the weight I was feeling was lifting, and I couldn’t help but start laughing at myself for ever being freaked out.

As someone who has put their faith in many things like guys, my appearance, and whatnot, it humored me that this witch doctor had faith in pigeons and some broken glass. I know that’s not the full picture, but I’m imagining him doing all these sacrifices or dances, like in the Princess and the Frog, or putting his trust in trinkets. Honestly, I laughed and I’ve been told on good authority the enemy hates that. I was praying that no matter what this “doctor” did, his rituals wouldn’t work; that the “power” that was there would be no more. I just smiled and walked away.

Then, two other teammates came over with a group of children they were doing a program for. They sat the children down and all started praying, and shortly after, we all started worshiping. The pastor came over and asked if we wanted to gather people for a church service. We jumped at the opportunity and walked through the community again to invite people to church!

(After going through the community we set up for church.)

People started flowing in and before we knew it, the building was packed! We had to grab extra chairs and there were even people outside. After we led worship, the pastor spoke, and then finished with prayer. He asked if anyone wanted to  accept the Father, to which 3 people raised their hands! GOD IS GOOD!!

Our time at the community was amazing and when we piled into the van, everyone was filled with excitement to share what happened that day. We weren’t able to meet this witch doctor, but we were able to bring people Home and pray over the doctor’s space. That was a bigger accomplishment and better encounter that my team could have planned for.

Please join me in prayer for this community:

Dear Father thank you for the opportunity you gave us to see into this community. We lift up the community members and witch doctor and ask that your presence would cover them. We ask that the church would do well and many lives would be saved. Amen.
