An American Party

Hey everyone! I just wanted to send a quick update of the ministry we have been able to do as a team. Unfortunately we are unable to show everything we have been doing and unable to share the ministries we are with for safety purposes for them. We are in a closed country where the Christians here are unable to share their faith in certain places. A lot of our ministry has been putting on leadership seminars, teaching students english, and throwing fun American parties to share American culture with students.

As a team we were able to plan a party with American snacks, games, and an insight to what American life looks like. We shared our different holidays, entertainment, sports, and fun pass times.

As different students arrived we just hung out with them and got to know them more. The majority are learning English so we were also able to set up times to meet with them to practice.

Not all the students speak English so we came up with fun games that everyone would be able to play. One of these games was follow the leader, this is a game where one person is in the middle and has to guess who the leader is. The leader is doing different actions that everyone follows, it was fun to see everyone get involved and enjoy a game we love.

We also played a game called house party, if you have never heard of it you should look up the rules and play with friends. It is a blast! All of the students loved it, after our games we shared what American culture was like. Then we had pizza and Coke and finished our time with learning about Kyrgyzstan. Some of the students showed us a traditional dance and we finished our time with a dance party.

I have loved working with these ministries and doing different events like these to get connected with the students. This is also how we get contacts to later get coffee and share what we are doing.

Please pray for protection over these two ministries and that the Lord would open student’s hearts to hear about God’s love for them.
